yikes :{

So apparently with decorating the house, prepping for travel, travel to California and back, sick baby, sick us, sick baby(again), frantic holiday shopping, fraud hold on credit cards, losing my wallet, calling and putting a hold on all my credit cards, having my wallet returned to me, a mis-delivered gift shipment, waiting on hold with said company for 45 minutes total over 2 different days, a full price refund (fortunately), but still no gift in time for Christmas, and trying to figure out what on earth I am making and bringing for Christmas brunch and dinner...

I have completely missed the month of December in posting pictures of our adorable monkey!!! How could this have happened??

Oh wait, I just went over all that :)

Right.

So, ok. Here goes. Hopefully to be back on track, at least as much as possible given that he is still sick and for the most part, so am I.

Thanksgiving was so much fun! Decorating the tree and the house with mama was a blast! and packing for our trip was too cute!

We had a great time in California, seeing everyone. We missed seeing lots of people and hope that they are all doing great!!

We are happy to be back home, but not so happy to spend Logan's first Christmas being sickies!! uck!

Oh well, such is life.

Catching Up... again

Oh my goodness! It has not been 3 weeks since I posted, has it?!?!

Happy First Halloween!!!

Here are the Halloween Pictures of Logan in his very first Halloween! 

I made him his costume and he was a treasure chest!! ... hopefully you can tell, but just in case ;)

Jamie and I were pirates, so I thought this would be the perfect accompaniment. He is our little treasure for sure!!

His little pants are made from a plank patterned fabric which I also used for the hat. I used a onesie for the top and hand sewed on tons of jems, jewels and coins. He looked so cute! He also had a bandana that was of a treasure map and hijacked daddy's sward ;)

I was so pleased with how it turned out. I hope you like it too!

Here are pictures of the darling shirt that Nani made for him. It is a black and white pumpkin and 'trick or treat' print. We wore it to the doctors office for his 9 month well visit and the doctor and nurses all thought it was the cutest shirt ever! so did the ladies at the grocery store ;)

Here's another outfit I made just cuz it was so cute and in case it got really cold (which it turned out to be a really warm night). It is a pumpkin bunting in a snuggly warm fleece with a cute jack-o-lantern face on the front, complete with Logan's 2 front teeth! Cute Pics with Mama!

Hi there,

Happy Wednesday and Happy 9 Months to Logan!!

I cant believe it has gone by so fast already! He is getting so big and so smart, doing so many things I am just so surprised by each and every day. He is a master of crawling now, up on all fours, no more belly crawls! He is standing and cruising on all the furniture and he loves especially best when you hold his hands and help him walk all over the house! He is climbing steps playing with Dodge and Tess. He eats all by himself, all sorts of fun finger foods and just this week has started waving! So much fun! We are looking forward to all the new things to come as well, and enjoying each moment with him and each new experience through his eyes!

snazzy new slippers!

Lil' Cowboy at Play & Eatin' Snacks!

Logan got himself a brand new cowboy sweatshirt and it is too cute for words!

Logan is getting to be such a big boy! He is eating finger foods all by himself now. He loves eating cereal pieces and yogurt whips! His favorite though is fruit! He's just like mama and loves sweet, cold fruit! Here are some cute ones in action!

Today we went with Daddy to his bank social at a place called Reunion Ranch. We had lots of fun playing in a swimmy pool and riding on a wagon pulled by a big red tractor! Daddy played volley ball and took mama for a ride on a paddle boat in the lake. We got to visit with all the people at the bank and make lots of new friends. We had lots of fun with 'unca Marty' too :p dancing around and splashing in the water! Then off to the hardware store and Ikea finishing our errands!

New Fall Romper - Perfect for Crawlin'

Here's Logan and his new romper for fall! He loves these things, and so do I! they are sooo easy and it helps him crawl around without hurting his little (umm, maybe not so little) knees! He just goes all over the house now, not a full crawl, but as auntie Stacy says, the master of the military crawl ;)

I really have to keep an eye on him as he goes right for all my new fall decorations! He loves being mobile and he can't wait till he can run all over and keep me on my toes. Hope you enjoy the pics, more to come soon!

Adventuring!!

Yesterday was a day of adventures!

One of Logan's favorite things is to play with his reflection in the mirror. He has discovered the big floor mirror in our room and just got so excited yesterday we had to take some pictures!

He has also recently discovered those spring-y little door stop things and that they make some really fun noises. He found one in our room after playing with the mirror and nothing would do but that he 'crawled' right over to it! What fun.

Feels like Fall!!

So It finally is beginning to feel like fall, at least a little here in Austin. It was 65 when I got up this morning, perfect walking weather.  Logan and I decided to get dressed and head out for a nice walk and drop off the netflix.

He has a darling new thermal onesie with a moose on it and his overalls were just too much to  resist! Here is our first feels like fall outfit and it was perfect! Take a look at all my 'army crawl' pics!

We walked all around the neighborhood, saw all the new houses going up, it's so quick, and shared the morning together. We listened to the birds and noises of the construction workers, saw trees and flowers and really neat tractors!! What a fun start to the day!

Now for naps, playing with toys and the puppy. then helping mama with the laundry and a few other chores. looks like a good plan for a monday!

Fun Weekend Visit!!

We all had a great weekend. Logan got to visit Nanny and Grandpa and was such a good boy over night! His first night away from home! (and mama didn't cry even once, yeah for me!) I think they might even be willing to take him again some time ;)

Play Mat Time & Chillin' with Daddy!

Logan has really mastered the art of rolling over. He is now able to start in one place and roll continuously over and over instead of just one side and back. He can do this in both directions and loves to practice his mad skills any time he can. Yesterday he decided to do so during play mat time and roll from one side all the way over until the mat itself upended onto its side with him laying over the overhead bars on the floor :D He was quite pleased with himself to say the least! Here are a few shots I was lucky enough to snag before he decided to wiggle his way out and try something else.

Later on when Daddy got home from work, he and the munchkin had some bonding time out on Daddy's hammock in the yard! They lounged out there after having had some yummy dinner together and played with the puppy, while Mama was making hers and Daddy's dinner. They had a very nice time and even smiled for a few shots between saute and serve!

Tonight, Mama and Daddy get to go on a date!! YEAH!! and Logan is going for a visit with Nanny and Grandpa. We are all very excited and looking forward to this much needed time out and about.

Shopping trip!

We got to go shopping on Wednesday to the fabric store!! One of Mama's fave places to go. We got all kinds of neat things for Logan, boy fabric to make into cute boy clothes since there seems to be a huge lack thereof in the stores these days. Unless of course you want to spend a ton of money.

We found some great patterns and guess what?!? only paid $1 ea for 10 patterns, my receipt says I saved over $140 on the patterns alone!!! Steal! Super cute patterns too, and for all sorts of things... clothes, sleep sacks and warm winter jammies, shopping cart covers and organizers, adorable bibs, matching daddy and baby jammies (oh my goodness soooo cute!!) and more! I cannot wait to get started!

Well, we forgot to take pictures while we were actually in the store, but this way you can see all the nifty stuff we came home with and Logan in all his chewing glory!!

And Logan is 7 months old today!!! Still can't quite believe how fast he's growing!!

Burrito Boy!

OK, so Logan has developed this adorable habit of rolling himself up into blankets. He grabs one end and just starts rolling over until he's all wrapped up, then kind of peeks up from under. It is so super cute! I got a great series of pics of him doing just that yesterday to share with you. Hope you like them as much as I do!

P.S. The search is on for the perfect sleep training. My two books arrived yesterday and I am reading like mad to see what I can put into play to get him to fall asleep on his own instead of while eating. It is a terrible crutch I know and I knew it leading up to it happening, promised myself we would not end up that way, and somewhere along the line, after that 4 month mark passed, and I just realized oh no!! that it happened and I missed my window entirely! His habits changed so easily that I didnt even know it was happening and there it is! GrRRr. Oh well. We will fix this and hopefully soon. We are all in dire need of a good nights sleep! Wish me luck, I'll keep you posted.

Logan's got a 2nd tooth... finally!

Hello all and Happy Tuesday!

I had planned to upload some pics yesterday but am still waiting on a cute one from his visit with Nanny and Grandpa over the weekend, so that will just have to be a bonus later in the week!

Sunday morning finally brought us that 2nd tooth that has taken since last Sunday to actually poke through. Poor little guy was hurting quite a bit from it! I think we may be getting on track to feeling better, so here's hoping! His little chomp has developed a razor sharp edge, fun for us, since he likes to chew on fingers :D The first tooth is really starting to get up there and is looking awful cute! I'll take a picture of both in a day or too, its a little tender right now and hurts him when I open his mouth too much.

We all had a great weekend, shopping, vegging, visiting and playing! He and Daddy got some boy time together and had a ball! More days like that to come! Here are some cute pics of that last few days. Hope your weekend was great!!

Playing with the Puppy & BBQing with Daddy!

Well lots of fun yesterday!! Crazy Dodge decided to come and play with Logan on his mat in the living room and they had a blast, rolling around and giggling together! of course Dodge decided that he needed to give Logan all sorts of kisses everywhere and that meant more giggles and me telling him not the face!! , but he never listens ;)

Then last night while Jamie BBQ'd the chicken, Logan got to run around outside in his scoot around and help with the grilling! They looked too cute I just had to snap a shot or two. Dodge got to come out and enjoy the evening too, playing with his Wubba in the yard and getting chased by Logan who screamed happily at him! Very busy day!

Helping Mama

Yesterday Logan helped me in my sewing room while I sewed and mended daddy's shorts as well as ironed his work shirts for the week. Of course he had all the fun, rolling around on one of his fave blankies and playing with his blocks. We sang songs and danced around together and got all our work done in a jif! Plus he looked cute as a button in his overalls!

Then later yesterday Logan got to eat dinner with daddy which he had lots of messy fun with. Mama was cooking dinner so I couldnt get a picture of that but take my word for it, he was a mess! lots of fun though!

We are still having a very hard time with tooth #2 it is right at the surface, but just wont break through and is causing a lot of pain and sleeplessness, hence we were awake from 3:30 to 5:30 this morning, oh so fun :{ He is napping at the moment so hopefully it will help him to feel a bit better and give me a chance to share these pics and get the dishes done.

1/2 Pint ;)

Had a good day yesterday, running errands, doing lunch with daddy after his meetings and going grocery shopping! Stayed up till 9:15 and then slept until 5:30 woohoo!! then even better, went right back down after 15 min until 7:30am!!! yeah for mama! much needed rest for us all.

Logan got to wear his new onesie from his Auntie Stacy yesterday and it was sooo cute! It is from her old job at LaneSplitter in CA and I thought it would be fun for her to see now that she is an official resident of New York! Hope your move went great sissy and hope to see you soon! Newly designed blog & Swimmy Pics!

Good morning all!
Wanted to take a moment to introduce the new face of our blog! All about our new little punkin' Logan Jack! I will do my very best to add at least 1 picture a day so you can share in his growing up and watch as we do all the new and exciting things we do! Swimmy Pics!

Logan got a brand new baby swimmy pool yesterday so we had to have a dip! It is super tiny and is more like sitting in the bath, just outside. Especially since it has gotten up to 104 most every day this week so its nice and warm too ;) He loved it though, splashing all around and even having a little chew on the side... gotta break in that new tooth and the one on the way! We sat out on the front porch and even Dodge came out to see what fun we were having! cant wait to do it again soon!

After our swim we decided to do a little scooting around in the kitchen getting into all sorts of mischeif, but oh how cute we look!!

Sitting Up!! YEAH!!

Logan is sitting up all on his own now! He is still a little bit wobbly after a while or if he reaches too far to overcorrect his balance then he goes plop... right over :p He cant pull himself up to sitting from laying down yet, but he is getting his center of balance figured out and Im sure will be very soon. He loves to reach far out in front or to the side for his toys, he likes the independence of getting different things. He has also gotten much better at reaching for something specific and getting it right away. If he cant seem to reach it he scoots on his belly, Its so cute!

We had some photos taken for the 6 month mark, they turned out so cute. Cant wait to show everyone soon!

Well, lots to do as always!! namely get my cup of coffee, finally ;)

New Teeth Suck!!

Logan is having such a crummy time getting his new teeth in, he is in a ton of pain and biting EVERYTHING to make it feel better! Im sure this is the norm and not the exception, but it still is no fun. Jamie says it is a good thing they dont remember this part and that it is more a trial for me than Logan. Which is completely accurate considering it breaks my heart every time he looks pained. I just continue on as best as I can and try to make it more comfortable whenever possible. gotta love chewing on the fingers, and arm and edge of the table and and and...

Otherwise things are going well. He is sleeping really well considering the pain. He only wakes up once during the night and falls back asleep usually only after 10 or 15 minutes. And as much as 6am is way too early for any normal person... he is the cutest alarm clock I have ever come across so i really cant complain! seeing those chipmunk cheeks and wearing those adorable feetsie jammies, that great big smile makes for the best start to the day! He is such a little love!

The peddler show is this weekend here in cedar park. We are all going to go tomorrow and check it out. It is supposed to be a bunch of vendors and craft booths, I am really looking forward to it! I'll let you know how it is. If anyone has been, let me know.

Adventures in the pool!!!

We had our first swim in the pool on saturday... What Fun!!! Mama, Daddy and Logan!

Logan was so cute and excited the whole time! giggles and splashing all around! no issues with the splashing water and was kicking his feet almost the whole time! Our little water baby! Cant wait to spend more time at the pool (good workout for mama too!). We swam around in the big pool and jumped in the air with daddy, what a fun day!

Yesterday we went to Wimberley... possible future home town :) and walked around the downtown area & had lunch. It is such a cute town. Old barns and houses, lots of beautiful land with huge old growth oak trees and creeks. Just wish we had time for pie :( at the most adorable pie shop! hopefully next time!

Well, we have the bug guy here to hopefully get rid of the hornets (GRRRRR!!) so I've gotta run. The video of the day at the pool will be up on our home website this week, so check in often, and for now, go see the super cute new pics posted there!

Feeling better boy!

Logan is feeling much better today!! YEAH! his chest is still a little cough filled but he is definitely back to his super adorable self!

He is at present running (forward a little but mostly backward) around the kitchen in his wheel around and playing with his blocks! He loves chasing after Dodge! Dodge of course has other ideas about the whole thing ;)

We had a fun day out and about yesterday running errands and doing a bit of shopping. Didnt buy much, but did pick up a much needed ironing board cover since mine decided to crumble into little bits where the iron usually sits... this also prompted the purchase of an iron stand for the side of the board! fixed 2 problems at once ;) We also came across a clearance set of old fashioned building blocks, you know, the ones with the half circles, arches, cylinders, triangles and rectangles that every child should have!! a set of 100 for only $7.50 at Target, what a deal!!! He may be a tad young for them, but im sure he will see if they taste yummy anyways ;)

Today we are hoping to go to the pool for the first time, fingers crossed that daddy can get the lawn mowed and Logan can get in his afternoon nap on time!! We will let you know how it goes :D

How the time does fly!

So here we are mid July and nearing the 6 month mark! I cannot believe how fast the time has gone! I have of course been so involved in watching Logan's every new experience that I have been remiss about writing in my blog to keep you all up date on things with us. I will try much harder to get this updated but always know that you can see new pics of Logan on our website too at www.lovell.cc we try to keep it at least a bit more up to date than this one ;)

Well, Logan is amazing (no mommy bias or anything)! He has just today figured out how to roll back over from his belly to his back. He has had the back to belly thing down for about a month now, but this one has eluded us until this morning, when he proceeded to be so pleased with himself, he did so three times in a row! He is working diligently on sitting up all by his-self but is a bit wobbly still. It will likely be soon so I am keeping that camera close by.

He has unfortunately been very sick this week. Cold and fever. I think he is teething too, so that makes things doubly painful. I had a very hard time with his first cold. I never quite knew how hard it would be to have to sit nearly idly by and watch him struggle with pain, breathing, coughing and sneezing, knowing that other than administering lots of snuggles and kisses and a bit of baby tylenol, there was nothing I could do to make it better! His little face was just so sad looking up at me and I was a gonner. He is feeling much better now thank goodness. We are finally sleeping better and back in our crib instead of the bouncer chair (to make breathing easier) so that is a huge help! Now just to get back to those nice long nights of sleep ;)

We are trying a nap/sleep plan to help make falling asleep easier. We found a super cute little puppy from leapfrog, called baby scout and it has recordings of lullabies and nature sounds, a soft glowing moon and a little blankie to hold while snuggling. I have been taking him to his room with the lights off and it nice and quiet, then we sit in the rocker and snuggle, bring out the puppy and start the music. So far he is liking the routine so it is a little bit at a time. Hopefully soon he will be on his way to dreamland whenever we begin the lullabies. Fingers crossed ;)

It's May!! Can you believe it?

Hi There! Cant believe it's May already. This year is flying by! Logan is 3 1/2 months already. Im having a birthday in 18 short days, schools are almost out, It will be my first mothers day next weekend...so many things coming up where do the days go?!

We are super excited, next week my best friend and Logan's (to be) God mother, Lauren is coming for a visit to Austin! Haven't seen her since December and she has yet to meet Logan in person so it is very exciting for us all! I have no idea what we will do while she is here, but it totally does not matter so long as we get to visit!

I'm looking forward to my first mother's day. It still seems a bit surreal sometimes to look down at that beautiful little face and think that's my son...sigh! He is just as sweet as can be, I am loving getting to know him as he develops his personality. He smiles all the time now, especially when we are playing or talking together. He is quite the chatter, making may new sounds and tones, exploring his vocabulary. We have been learning words in Spanish and a little Italian and French to expose his ears to different things. It is fun to see him look at you and turn his head when he hears new things.

We are working on rolling over and sitting up. he has absolutely no desire to roll over, he likes laying on his back looking around at whatever he sees, usually the fan which he loves to watch! He is NOT a huge fan on being on his belly, but still hasnt quite figures out that the rolling thing means that he doesnt have to be on his belly any more... oh well, work in progress. The sitting up is cute and still a bit far from happening on his own. he bobbles his head a lot and kind of folds in half facing forward so its more of there's no more room for him to go forward than supporting himself up, but hey, it's super cute anyways!

He has decided however that instead of getting better at the longer sleep thing, he is going to get worse! his night used to look something like this:  5 or 5 1/2 hours when he first went down, then a 3 hour stint and then maybe 2 or 3 hours, then up at 8 and we're ok to go. Now it looks something like this: 3-4 hours at first, then 2 hours, then 1 hour eating and 1 hour sleeping and promptly up at 6:30 or 7!!! This of course looks something like this for me: NO sleep for Mama! I must figure out what we are doing wrong, as almost everyone Ive talked to says that their baby, grandbaby, etc slept "through the night" at 6 or 8 weeks!!! OK seriously, how did I miss the boat on that one? I'd like to know! Oh well, maybe someday I'll sleep again...oh wait no, not for another 18 years right?! ;)

Sleep deprivation aside, It really is wonderful being a mommy and I would not trade it for anything in the world. He is such a joy!

Oh yes and the birthday is coming up too... really looking forward to that as I am SUCH a fan of birthdays!! Getting to get dressed up and get lots of great phone calls! love, love, love it! cant wait!

Getting Big and Smiles Every Day!!!

Hi There,

Logan is of course getting so big. We had his 2 month well visit and he was 13lbs 9oz. and that was almost 2 weeks ago now!! I cant believe how quickly the weeks are going by, 11 weeks now (on Wednesday).

He is cute as a button and getting such a fun little personality! He is smiling all the time and getting awful close to a giggle!! What fun! He is holding his head up almost completely now, with very little bobble head action. Though he still likes to bonk his head against mine on occasion. I think it's amusing to him to get a reaction from me when I go "oops, BONK" and kiss his nose ;)

Lots of little chattering, much more like words now. Cooing and making vowel type noises. It is so cute to listen to him, especially when he's in his bouncer chair and talking to his monkeys on the bar overhead! Seeing him every day growing and changing is so exciting! I look forward to each new thing and of course get so excited when he does something different!

Jamie has 1 week and a bit home with us still so we are trying to get our honey do list done this week so we have a few days to spend doing fun things before he goes back to work. We are hoping to take a drive to the hill country to go walking around the old towns and shops. I cant wait!

Logan had a nice bath tonight before going down for sleep session #1. He is of course fighting falling asleep even though he is super tired, but oh well :D

Baby Logan Update

Hi Y'all,
well i finally broke down and asked Jamie the login info for this blog. I had completely forgotten the info, so couldnt add any new info...hence no updates since before his birth :(
So now that im back in, here's the news!!

Our baby boy is 2 months already!! my goodness how time flies!! He is absolutely adorable (says the totally biased momma)!! So far those steely blue eyes have stayed, we are keeping our fingers crossed.

He is getting so big! Completely out of newborn clothes, (sad!) but we are having a blast buying him cute new stuff to wear as spring and summer are warming up. Man, are baby clothes CUTE!!!! We have been on a month long search for a great Easter outfit, and finally found one we love! You know, girls have it easy, there are so many darling springy clothes out there, but boys get jipped! unless its a onesie or sailer romper, no dice. Well, after a monumental search, we have finally found something that we love that did not cost a hundred bucks!! I will blog with a pic after Easter brunch next week, all i can say is i love argyle!

Logan has been gracing us with his first genuine smiles this last week what an amazing thing!! absolute heaven! He is also getting close to having little laughs, cant wait for that!!! Also making the most adorable noises! lots of talking and chattering away! Too much fun!

He has his next big well-baby visit next week, so we will see how big he's getting and see how he is doing with his milestones. Report card to come ;)

Well I think thats all i have to report at this time...dont want to bore everyone with a million lines :D

Only 5 days to go...Yikes! ;)

So wow, we are definitely in countdown stage now.

Only 5 days left, I cannot believe it!

We are both so excited and anxious by turns, and at the moment scrambling to get all the last minute things done. I am still needing to pack our bags for the hospital, but at least I have it mostly done. It is my top task for today. Just finishing up some laundry so I can have the things I want all ready to go. We need to install the car seat base this weekend and have it inspected so thats taken care of. Then general cleaning before the family arrives. Hopefully I can get a few small things done today without overdoing it. ;) wish me luck on that one!

We had a visit to the doctor yesterday and found that we are now 2 1/2 centimeters dilated from not even 1 last week, which is super exciting, and means that we do not need to go into the hospital the night before our inducement to get things started! Yeah! Of course the exam left me more than a little sore and cramped all day yesterday, but seems to have subsided mostly today.

I also go to get a mani/pedi yesterday and my brows done, so I feel ready to face just about anything now :D It was very relaxing and helped to rejuvenate me a bit.

Jamie has been super busy painting the house and changing out the batteries in the smoke detectors. The paint looks great! We chose a bright marigold for the kitchen and have started off by doing 2 accent walls for now to brighten things up. We will eventually do the rest, but for now it looks great!! He also did the 2 remaining walls in the master bedroom, and it looks so warm and cozy. He has one more coat to do on those two walls before they are done, but will do those this weekend while Im at the final baby shower. He and dad even moved our thermostat panel upstairs last weekend so that the room temperatures weren't so drastically off base. It has been a blessing this week to not be freezing or melting depending on the time of day!

All in all, things are coming together nicely. We are as prepared as we can be for our new addition. So here's hoping for a smooth delivery and a healthy baby!! We will do our very best to notify everyone once the baby arrives, and post when things get settled a bit. All our love to you all. Speak to you soon.

The Date is set... Hopefully

Good morning all, Happy Sunday.

We have requested our date for inducing for Wednesday January 27th. We still need to get a confirmation from the hospital that there is space available, but are very hopeful that it will be a go. Keep your fingers crossed!! We are so very excited and cant wait to meet our newest addition.

The visits at the doctor have been going well. Im not a huge fan of the internals as there has not been much activity yet and so are quite painful. The ultrasounds however are wonderful!! Getting to see baby and see the heart beating and hands or feet moving around is so fantastic!! And baby has hair!! yeah! This coming Thursday we will be measuring baby's size for an estimated weight for birth the following week. I cant wait! So far the size does not appear to be too large so that is a HUGE relief!!

The baby has dropped and I think this last week has by far been the most uncomfortable, not bad, just really different from everything so far. Lots of pressure on my hip bones when I sleep, lots of pressure on my pelvic bones when I stand or sit, and of course as baby has quickly discovered, lots of room to stretch those little feet right up into the side of my ribs!! sounds like fun ;) Allergies here in Texas have also been miserable this week so that has not helped the breathing thing, and makes me even more tired than usual. But, no complaints really, every movement from baby is still so darn thrilling that it just doesnt matter about the rest.

We are in major nesting mode, both mommy and daddy to be, picking out paint for several spaces in the house, hanging shelves, organizing the laundry room for a nifty new drying rack, making curtains, prepping all baby things, hanging pictures, etc. It is great to get a lot done, but as Im carrying an extra load, it takes much longer and much more energy than usual, so I tire much faster. Jamie is doing most all the work really, I just get to pick and choose and supervise... ok seriously not complaining there, excellent job for me :)

I am getting in a bit of pampering time though too, so that is great! I got my hair done on Friday, no more roots, yeah! I also plan to get a mani/pedi next Thursday afternoon so I'll be all set and prettied up for the big day. Ok so I totally know there will be no looking pretty during labor, but at least I will know I have cute toes for after :D

Other than that, just making lots of freezable dishes so I dont have to cook too much at first, getting all the plans sorted out with visitors and getting soo anxious and excited! I cant wait to see all our visitors soon, and hope you are all excited as the big day gets closer!!

Happy New Year!!

Hi and a very Happy New Year to all!

We have been busy nesting these past few weeks and feel like every day has just flown by. We are trying to get the last minute things done before baby arrives and finding that it is taking longer than planned. I am getting much more tired, much faster than I am used to and thusly am over doing it some days... big surprise for me ;)

Well at least we are getting there. The nursery is pretty much ready, we are still in need of some of the basics; sheets, bathing products and diapers, but have all the big rocks taken care of so we feel pretty good about it. The ladies in my office are throwing me another shower and so we dont want to buy too much more before then. I also took some time this last weekend to wash everything for baby so that is done too, and it is all hung or folded in the nursery ready to snuggle over our little one :D We are so thrilled and can hardly wait for the arrival!!

Only 4 weeks to go!! the countdown is really on now, and of course I could pop at any time so its all a guessing game, though I have been given strict instructions to keep my legs crossed until Grandma arrives, so here's hoping!! We have our big 36 week visit on Friday. Hopefully an update will be forthcoming, or at the least another ultrasound picture.

In other news, I picked up some bins at Ikea yesterday and organized our pantry a little bit better. Now I just need to get some better snacks! I still need to find some inexpensive risers for my spices, and some cute labels and I think we will be well on the way to a quazied organized pantry ;)

We also had some preggy pictures taken yesterday and they turned out so cute!! We need to find a color scanner so we can make copies and send them out to everyone. We are trying to get a sunny day around here so we can take some ourselves then we will be able to share a little better. Will keep you posted.

Well have a great first week of the new year and I will post again after the visit on Friday.
