Sew & Play

We have been sewing up a storm lately making gif ties for friends and family and our wonderful Dr.

With so much sewing and cutting there are lots of scraps. Well being the nerdy creative girl I am I looked down at a pile of scraps and got so excited!! That will make the perfect bandit mask!! I thought to myself ;)

So I rounded up enough pieces ran to my machine and without even pulling up a chair I stood there feeding the fabric through. I cut out some eye holes and zig zagged around them and voila!

Logan loved it and looks so cute in it! I am waiting to see if there is enough left over fabric to make a cape next!! Can't wait!

Mother's Day '12!

We had such a lovely Mothers day last weekend!

I woke up to sweet snuggles and beautiful cards from my boys. Then we got all packed up in the MINI and headed to brunch. We went to a super yummy Crepe place in downtown Austin, had egg, bacon & cheese crepes and cappuccinos and visited. Off to South Congress for walking and shopping and a stop for chocolate at the end. We loved walking and watching all the people and spending all that time together.

After a short siesta back home we went over to domain for some playground time with the Armadillo and a good running off of excess Logan energy followed by dinner at one of our favorite spots, Steeping Room!

What a great day! Thank you to my sweet husband for planning it all and sending me for a hair style & pedi later this week to make the sweetness last just that much longer. Thank you to my sweet boy for all the love, kisses and snuggles and our new disney movies to share together on those rainy spring afternoons.

Mama's Day Play Date Party!

What Fun! Most of the ladies in our mom's group got together Friday for a Mother's Day Play Date & Party. It was so great to see everyone and visit. It was loud, happy chaos with lots of giggles! Erica hosted us in her darling new home, it was so cute! We each brought a dish of goodies to share and a mama giftie to exchange, then we just let the little ones run wild.

What a great start to a lovely Mother's Day weekend!

Library and Park date with Carolyn

We had a fun, spur of the moment library and park play date with Stephanie and Carolyn last week and it was great! For once we got to play at the playground outside Mighty Fine, which is usually so hot, you can't even touch it. It was nice and cool and overcast and made for a perfect time to play.
