Park Fun with Logan's Baby Finn

In case you haven't met him yet, this is Finn, Logan's baby! We go a lot of places together, most specially on a very long hunt for shoes just the right size for Baby Finn. You see, he couldn't go to the park without shoes on because, neither can Logan. perfect logic ;) Well, as you can see, we made it to the park! We found shoes for Baby Finn and haven't stopped going since!

Feeling Rocks

While browsing Pinterest the other day I came across this great idea! Creating Feeling Rocks!

It is a rock with a small picture on it expressing a feeling and the feeling written below. Then when confusing feelings come up you can pull out your rocks and talk it over, show the face, and explain. This is a way to help ease tantrums and help your child learn about and express their feelings.

We decided this was a neat idea, so we got up one morning, found a bucket and went on a rock hunt. This was the best part, we went all over, down to the creek and along the running trail and spent some great time together talking and exploring! When we got home we printed out the pictures and mod podged them onto our freshly washed rocks. After 2 coats and some drying time, we have ourselves a full set of feeling rocks and are having so much fun playing with and talking about them!

Team Carter Walk

The weekend before last we did the March of Dimes, March for Babies walk with Team Carter! Meredith and Alan's son, Carter, was born a preemie and spent quite a while in the NICU. He is now a super rambunctious toddler who loves to be into mischief and makes a great partner in crime to our little monkey! We joined them for their walk to support the cause and to help make sure that baby #2 stays in just a bit longer this time ;)

It was a hot, sunny day here in Austin, and we had a blast! Tons of people turned out for the walk and our team was the highest earning family team to attend!! Yay Team Carter! A special thanks to my grandma, Nani for helping us reach that goal!

Play Day with Henry & Baby George!

Our dear friend Jacqueline has recently had her 2nd baby, George! We got to go for a park play date and visit and had such a fun time at their very neat park! Here's a few cute pics of our day. Baby George slept through it all so we didn't end up with a picture of him. Hopefully next time!

Day At Mc Kinnley Falls State Park

On one of the days of Jamies vacation we packed up snacks and went on a little hike! We found this place online and knew we needed to take logan there... there was water!!!! 

This kid loves him some water!

It was a short easy walk in from the parking lot, simple enough for Logan to do on his own! 

Once to the top of the falls we saw a little beach that would be perfect for some wading and picnicking.

Just take a look at these fun pics to see how great this day was! We will definitely go back again soon!

Oh, and of course, we stopped at Black Sheep Lodge after for some awesome pickle chips and little stinkers!! Trust me, just try them!!
