Logan's Veggie Garden!

Logan and I planted a veggie garden last week and we had so much fun!

We went to the store and picked out all the seeds that we liked and ended up with carrots, cucumber, beets, green beans and lettuce. We even got a few cute signs to put into the planters and a little spade to plant with. I had 4 long rectangular planters in the garage and picked up a bit more soil and we were all set.

After trekking to the garage to fill the planters, we lined them all up on the porch, opened our seed packets and pretty much dumped them all in... hey it works right?! Then we covered them with more dirt and watered the top.

We also made little signs to tell the seedlings apart. Mama had a few corks in a jar and wooden skewers from the bbq and we thought with a little marker we would be all set. They turned out so cute!

He is so proud of himself and goes out every day to water and check on them!

They are growing so fast!! We couldn't believe it! I will share pics of the growing soon, but we had to save some anticipation for later ;)

Silk Marvelous Play Date

A friend of ours, Aimee, hosted us all at her home for a Silk party today and it was so much fun! She got the new smoothie drinks, yogurt and coffee from Silk brand along with all the goodies (plates, cups and coupons) to host a party. She made some super yummy french toast and quiche and we all came to play!

It was a beautiful day and we spent all our time out in her back yard. Travis sure has lots of great toys to play with and share and all the kids had a blast! It made for a nice relaxing morning for the mamas to visit and catch up.

Finally Finished the Tootsie Tractors!

At Logan's Birthday party we did a little craft with whomever wanted to paint their tootsies! It was such a cute idea and of course then the paint had to dry and I vowed to finish them and get them to their perspective tootsie matches. Of course, one thing led to another and here it is April and I am only just now getting it done. Sigh :}

At least they are done and they turned out so cute I just had to share them here!

Strawberry Farm Day!

We just got back from another fun play day picking fresh Strawberries at Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls and had a fantastic time!

It ended up being a boys and mamas trip today with Lauren & Ian and Aimee & Travis. I think the favorite part for the boys was eating the dirt berries and playing with the Goats! We even had to rush our picnic lunch under the awning when a rogue rain cloud drifted overhead but that didn't stop us! Here are the great pics of the day! We all agree this would be so much fun to do again with each of the different picking seasons!
